Joshua Truett attended the American Society Theatre Research conference “Theatre’s Many Publics”. At the conference, he gave the presentation “Muxe Velas and Fiesta Queens: Indigenous Festival and the Making of Queer Counterpublics”, which was part of the plenary panel “Theatrical Counterpublics.” In May 2020, he will be presenting at the Latin American Studies Association annual conference in Guadalajara, Mexico.
