MFA student Rina Hajra's film My Sekret War is headed to the 2020 Phoenix Film Festival this March.

The film depicts a young woman's struggle to overcome the cruelty she experienced as a child of war. It grapples with redemption, forgiveness, and the trauma left behind by senseless violence.

Hajra is the creator, executive producer, and screenwriter of My Sekret War, which is based on true stories. She also stars in the film.

The film received "Best Indie Short" and "Best Director" at the Los Angeles Film Awards in 2019, and was an official selection at the Dumbo Film Festival, Brookyn, NY, in 2019.
