Department Seeks to Fill Two Staff Positions
The Department of Theatre within the College of Arts and Sciences seeks a Theatrical Sound and Media Studio Manager and a Theatrical Lighting Studio Manager to join our team. The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest college and the academic heart of the university. The College hosts 81 majors. These are 12-month positions offered for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2019 and ending June 30, 2022.

Theatrical Sound and Media Studio Manager
In collaboration with all faculty, staff and students of the Department of Theatre, the Theatrical Sound & Media Studio Manager leads the design, implementation, testing and deployment of audio and media systems for use in Department of Theatre courses, productions, and events, with a focus on the success of theatrical artists. Oversees ordering of audio and media equipment to support teaching and productions. Teaches Sound and Media curricula. Assists in setting up sound and media and providing staffing coverage for rentals.
Theatrical Lighting Studio Manager
The Theatrical Lighting Studio Manager serves as the instructor, supervisor and manager of the Department of Theatre’s Lighting Design Studio. The LSM instructs trains, supervises MFA graduate teaching associates, and oversees graduate and undergraduate students in the installation of temporary stage lighting, as part of theatre practicum courses. The LSM manages, constructs and implements the distribution and control systems for conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures and effects for all productions. This position also manages all administrative functions related to the lighting studio: hiring student and intermittent personnel, maintaining equipment, inventory, and budgets, and purchasing. The LSM collaborates with other faculty, staff and students on productions and may design lighting for departmental events and productions.
