Post-MFA Artist Rasel Ahmed Curates Online Oral History Exhibition

Post-MFA Artist Rasel Ahmed curated an online oral history exhibition, "Moving Memories", about the queer Bangladeshi migrants (documented, undocumented, asylee) living in the United States. This exhibition if the first project of the archiving collective Queer Archives of the Bengal Delta that he co-founded with Efadul Huq. Huq, an assistant professor of environmental science and policy at Smith College, and Ahmed are developing a collaborative lecture/presentation about the project.

Ahmed is a community-based filmmaker who uses traditional cinematic tropes and techniques to combine documentary with fantasy. Before joining The Ohio State University Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts as a post-MFA artist, he was at Columbia University working on an MFA in visual arts with a concentration in moving image.
