Alumna Toni-Leslie James Receives Tony Nomination

Alumna Toni-Leslie James (BFA '79) received her third Tony Award Nomination for Bernhardt/Hamlet. Bernhardt/Hamlet is the critically acclaimed play about the turn-of-the-century international stage celebrity Sarah Bernhardt's performance in Hamlet.

James is associate professor and head of design in the theatre department at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has numerous professional costume credits on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in film and television.
