Adrienne Kennedy Inducted Into Theater Hall of Fame

Award-winning playwright, Adrienne Kennedy (BS '53, DRH '03) is being inducted into the Theater Hall of Fame. Founded in 1971, the Theater Hall of Fame honors theatre professionals who have given at least 25 years of distinguished service to the American Theatre. It was created by Earl Blackwell, James M. Nederlander, Gerard Oestreicher, and L. Arnold Weissberger.

The Department of Theatre has produced two of Kennedy's plays: Obie Award-winner Sleep Deprivation Chamber and The Ohio State Murders. The latter relates her experiences when she was a student at the university. Her most recent play is the critically acclaimed He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box.
