Do you love theatre and making an impact on your community? Then Theatre Arts Group (TAG) is for you. TAG is a student organization dedicated to bringing theatre to underserved students in the Columbus Community. Through a thoughtful blend of mentorship and theatre, TAG helps local elementary and high school students to develop as not only actors, but as individuals and community members.
The founding members of TAG began an afterschool program introducing all things theatre to students at a local high school, Columbus Northern International School. Three years later, TAG continues to thrive at CNIS, but the organization has expanded its programming to include workshops with Columbus theaters, field trips to local productions, presentations by local theatre professionals, and, most recently, expansion into a variety of Columbus-area elementary schools. The Department of Theatre offers the Lunch & Learn series every Tuesday as an opportunity for members of the department to engage in casual conversation with students, faculty and professionals about topics of shared interest.
