Colton Weiss is an instructor, actor, and freelance voice, speech, and dialect coach throughout central Ohio. He is a certified One Voice Practitioner (Dr. Joan Melton) with research interests around musical theatre and dialect coaching integration. He has presented with the Association for Theatre in Higher Education (ATHE) and published with the Voice and Speech Review (VSR). He is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University and the A.R.T. Institute at Harvard University where he specialized in voice and speech pedagogy for theatre and trained internationally with the Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT). Weiss is a member of the Musical Theatre Educators Alliance (MTEA) and Voice and Speech Trainers’ Association (VASTA).

Teaching appointments include Harvard University, The Ohio State University, Capital University, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and #Hashtag Comedy Columbus.

Favorite coaching credits include Violet the Musical (ART/Oberon; Sammi Cannold dir.), Matilda the Musical (Weathervane Playhouse; Valerie Accetta dir.), Billy Elliot (Weathervane Playhouse; Kirsten Upchurch dir.), and The Winter’s Tale (Tecumseh Drama; Lance Mekeel dir.).
